Common Question: Why is My Product Buried on Page 5, Amazon.com!?

This is a question I often get from potential clients. Amazon Seller: “Why isn’t my product showing up when I search by product type or relevant keywords?” Unfortunately, there isn’t one answer but there are solutions! Fortunately, some of the solutions for improving search results are low hanging fruit, easily accessible and updatable with a little data analysis and push.

So, what are the top 3 things you can do up front?

  1. Content and Storytelling: Test and update your copy and content to find the right mix, make sure your images and copy (Titles, Bullets, Product Descriptions) have the most relevant keywords, and the top three images tell the story of the product and why should the customer buy it.
  2. No reviews, poor reviews, or too little reviews? Utilizing programs such as Amazon Vine or incentivizing your customers to leave a review through discount programs is also another option.
  3. Tools: There are multiple paid and non-paid tools to enhance your product and brand awareness. Brand Stores allow sellers to create a personal space for the brand, Amazon Posts direct mobile traffic to these stores.
